J. White II Consulting is a hybrid consulting firm that integrates AI-enabled solutions with Community Economic Development (CED) principles to serve local governments, nonprofits, small businesses, farms, and faith-based organizations, with a primary focus on Southeast Ohio and expanding reach to clients across the region. The firm delivers AI consulting, strategic communication, capacity building, leadership coaching, and digital products that help organizations modernize operations, strengthen outreach, and achieve sustainable growth.

Mission: To create equitable access to responsible AI tools and literacy, ensuring rural and underserved communities thrive in the digital transformation era.

Signature Initiative: The AI Literacy CED Initiative partners with libraries across 15 counties in Southeast Ohio to provide free public access to AI education, bridging the digital divide in rural communities.

Geographic Reach: While rooted in Southeast Ohio, the firm serves clients regionally and has expanded my business footprint to include organizations in New England, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and beyond through virtual consulting capabilities.

Leadership: James White II operates as the sole founder and principal consultant, maintaining a lean, client-focused practice supported by strategic partnerships with AI InnoVision, DCT AI Lab for Creatives, and regional community organizations.

ABOUT US

In 2013, Bill Dorsey and James White II founded Community Economic Development Solutions LLC (CEDS LLC) to address the persistent challenges facing underserved communities through a modern, systems‑level approach to Community Economic Development.

They recognized that traditional strategies alone are no longer sufficient to meet the pace and complexity of today’s economic landscape.

CEDS LLC established J. White II Consulting as its strategic tech consulting arm to put responsible AI capabilities directly into the hands of small businesses, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, community leaders, and local governments.

Together, the two entities operate as a unified platform for community transformation. CEDS LLC provides the strategic foundation—grounded in poverty reduction, neighborhood revitalization, small business support, and equitable development—while J. White II Consulting delivers the applied tools, training, and AI‑enabled solutions that make these strategies actionable.

Our work is driven by a simple belief: communities thrive when innovation and equity move together.
